Veto Session Newsletter

Friends,

I’m excited to provide a recap of our recent Reconvened Session in Richmond and share some exciting community updates. Last week we gathered in Richmond for what is sometimes referred to as “veto session,” which is when legislators take action on the Governor’s amendments and vetoes of bills passed during the regular session, which wrapped up in early March. During the Reconvened Session we had three objectives: to consider the Governor’s vetoes, to accept or reject his amendments to our legislation, and finally, to make a plan for moving forward with the state budget.
