As we continue moving through the legislative session, I’m excited to share some important updates with you. The House and the Senate have now put forward each of their versions of the budget. The next step is to work through negotiations between the chambers and reconcile the differences to finish the final Budget. In a recent newsletter, I shared concerns about the current funding formula for our public schools and the dreaded support staff cap. I’m proud to announce that this year, we were successful in lifting this cap!
