Welcome to Week 3 of our General Assembly Newsletter! We’ve officially made it halfway through the legislative session and are quickly approaching “Crossover” which is the point when bills cross from one chamber to the other. To be exact, next Tuesday is the last day to pass bills out of the House of Delegates. Then legislation moves over to the Senate for further consideration and vice versa. After Crossover, we’ll return to our committees to consider the Senate bills, but there will be fewer now, since many bills won’t have successfully passed through the Senate.
